Technical Information About the Construction

The construction is based on 3 contracts. The infrastructure elements (feed water, sewage, telephone, electricity) situated under the İstasyon and Ebuziyya streets where the underground shopping center is constructed, have been displaced on the sink shaft typed retaining walls within the illuminated galleries in which one can easily can walk.

The excavation has been made on the construction side; the construction works of the carcase and 16 m long cast in-situ concrete beam and the flooring have been completed; the upper side of the underground shopping center has been put into service, after having completed the covering of the superior pedestrian precinct and the related landscape studies; the laying of the reinforced concrete on the ground of the shopping center has been completed after having made the underground excavation at the closed area; and then the underground shopping center has been put into service after having completed the precision works, mechanic and electrical constructions.

There are 92 shops with varying sizes of 15-42 m² (the total area of the shops : 1700 m²). The total area of the shopping center is 2.800 m². All kinds of technical and social possibilities exist in the center, and the circulation is provided through 9 staircases. Furthermore, escalators are used nearby the staircases at the entrance and end of the shopping center. The technical requirements (mechanic and electricity) of the underground center are provided through the devices placed at the basement floors of the business center. The cooling of the center is made through 4 water coolant groups with a capacity of 280.000 kcal/h, and the heating through 3 central heating boilers with a capacity of 720.000 kcal/h. In the premise fire resistant silicon electric cables have been used; the facility to intervene and use have been granted by installing electricity shafts between the two shops.
